When your child joins us for Pre-School, they are assigned a ‘Keyworker’, who takes special care of them and helps them settle in. Their Keyworker will also keep you informed of your child’s progress, and highlight any extra help they may need.
We support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is the set of guidelines that all Pre-School’s have to work to. You can find more information about the EYFS via the Every Child Matters website,(www.direct.gov.uk) or by typing Early Years Foundation Stage into your toolbar. For us it means that we take the time to plan activities that are fun and help your child explore and extend their skills in all areas of their development.
We use craft, cookery, gardening, turn-taking games as well as activities that use up lots of energy – both indoors and outside!
We provide healthy and varied snacks and take dietary/allergy/cultural requirements into consideration.
