As a registered charity, we have a committee who help look after the group. Their role is to make sure that the group’s funds are being used appropriately, that the staff have up to date qualifications and are working in a safe environment, as well as ‘lighter roles’ such as organising fundraising events and treats for the children.
Our Committee is always keen to invite new members along and meetings are held half termly, the times and dates of meetings are displayed on our notice boards.
The Pre-School takes children from the age of 2 years until they reach school age. Children do not need to be dry to attend, we have changing facilities and will support potty training when your child is ready. Children that do not yet qualify for the Nursery Education Grant are charged £10 per session.
The term after your child’s third birthday, they qualify for their Nursery Education Grant (NEG), and you can claim your entitlement with us. Gentleshaw Primary School does not have a nursery unit, so if you child is to attend the school, we can be a good place for them to make friends before they enter the reception class. If you child is not to attend Gentleshaw, they are also free to join us and can claim their NEG to use with us before they move onto their next setting.
